Key Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable data pipelines (batch and near real-time), including ingestion, transformation, orchestration, and data quality controls
- Develop and maintain backend services and APIs for secure integration across systems
- Deploy and manage applications using AWS services such as ECS/Fargate, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, RDS, IAM, and CloudWatch
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines with automated testing, security scanning, and policy checks
- Automate infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
- Enforce security controls including authentication, authorization, encryption, and secrets management
- Implement monitoring and observability, including logging, alerting, and performance tracking
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile delivery environments
- Ensure compliance with IT governance, cloud security, and platform standards
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, or DevSecOps
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud platforms (GCC experience is a plus)
- Experience with DevOps tools such as GitLab, Jira, Confluence, and SonarQube
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform and/or CloudFormation)
- Good understanding of cloud-native and microservices architecture, Docker, and Kubernetes
- Programming experience in Python, Node.js, C#, JavaScript, or TypeScript
- Experience building and securing APIs (JWT, OAuth, Cognito, etc.)
- Knowledge of data engineering concepts such as data pipelines, data lakes, and orchestration
- Strong troubleshooting skills across application, infrastructure, and security domains
- Experience in secure coding, vulnerability management, and compliance practices
- Experience in enterprise or regulated environments (Singapore public sector is advantageous)
- Exposure to LLM technologies (e.g. OpenAI, Amazon Q, Gemini) is a plus
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with stakeholders
