Data Engineer

As a data engineer you will analyse complex data sets to provide insights that drive business decisions. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand their data needs, design data model and data solutions and develop data pipelines while on the same time ensuring data security and company policy compliance. Your role will also involve performing data analysis and present business findings to business stakeholders or leadership to power business decisions.

Your day-to-day work will include:

• Understand and analyse complex datasets
• Collaborate with domain teams and other stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions, including ETL pipelines and data visualizations
• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for data solutions
• Build BI dashboards based on business requirements
• Ensure data security, governance, and compliance with organizational standards
• Troubleshoot and debug data gaps, anomalies, and issues

Basic Qualifications

• Experience in data engineering or related roles.
• Expertise in SQL
• Knowledge of data modelling, data warehousing and ETL design patterns

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with big data technologies (e.g. hadoop, Spark, Hive)
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g. GCP, Bigquery)
