Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain ETL pipelines and file-based interfaces for HR data ingestion into ODIN.
Develop SQL and Python logic to cleanse, standardise, transform and reconcile data.
Work with existing data models, tables and datasets, including complex and legacy HR data.
Support system enhancements, Change Requests and Service Requests through testing, validation and issue resolution.
Implement automated data quality, validation and reconciliation checks, investigate anomalies and identify root causes.
Monitor data pipelines, troubleshoot failures and improve pipeline reliability and performance.
Develop and maintain AWS Athena tables, views and queries, as well as governed datasets for reporting and analytics.
Translate business requirements into data mappings, transformation rules and technical solutions.
Maintain technical documentation and support audit, access review and governance activities.

Key Requirements

Strong proficiency in SQL and working proficiency in Python.
Hands-on experience in ETL, data pipeline development, data transformation and automation.
Good understanding of data warehousing, data modelling and relational/file-based data.
Experience working with complex or legacy data structures and transforming them into reliable datasets.
Experience in data validation, reconciliation, data quality checks and troubleshooting.
AWS experience, particularly S3 and Athena, is preferred.
Familiarity with CSV/Parquet, IAM and data partitioning is advantageous.
Experience with Tableau or other BI tools is an advantage.
Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
Able to work independently, manage priorities and collaborate with business users, technical teams, vendors and source system owners.
Interest or experience in HR/workforce data is advantageous.
