Data Centre Security Operations Specialist

We are supporting one of the world's largest technology organisations in hiring a Data Centre Security Operations Specialist to help protect its rapidly expanding hyperscale infrastructure environment across Singapore and the wider region.

This is a highly visible role sitting at the intersection of physical security, data centre operations, compliance and critical infrastructure. You will take ownership of security operations across data centres, colocation facilities and distributed edge sites - managing access controls, physical-security incidents, CCTV systems, vendors, audits and the secure movement and disposal of critical technology assets.

Responsibilities

• Manage physical access requests, badge permissions and periodic access reviews.
• Monitor CCTV/VMS, access-control, alarm and physical-security systems.
• Triage and investigate security incidents through to resolution.
• Maintain incident records, corrective actions and root-cause reviews.
• Coordinate data centre providers, security vendors and remote-hands teams.
• Support physical-security audits, compliance reviews and site-readiness activities.
• Manage secure hardware shipments and chain-of-custody requirements.
• Oversee failed-media sanitisation, certified destruction, RMAs and decommissioning.
• Review maintenance and change activity for potential security risks.
• Maintain SOPs, tickets, dashboards, SLAs and operational reporting.
• Drive improvements across security processes, controls and vendor performance.

Required Skills

• Knowledge of access-control, CCTV/VMS, alarms and physical-security incident management.
• Experience working with external vendors, colocation providers or site operators.
• Strong incident investigation, documentation and stakeholder-management skills.
• Exposure to security audits, compliance controls and operational reporting.
• Ability to work independently across multiple sites, stakeholders and time zones.
• Experience with Lenel, Genetec, Milestone, C-Cure, Avigilon, HID, Brivo, Jira or ServiceNow would be beneficial.
• Exposure to media destruction, disk sanitisation, secure logistics, chain of custody, hardware decommissioning or RMAs would also be highly advantageous.
