Data Centre Operator (12 hour shift)

Job Description:-

1. Monitor and control physical access to the data centre and maintain accurate activity records.
2. Oversee facilities and equipment, identifying issues such as Amber/Red lights and notifying clients as needed.
3. Monitor backup jobs to ensure successful completion and escalate failures promptly.
4. Prepare and maintain the DC Daily Report, documenting all incidents, activities, and observations.
5. Manage tape operations, including loading/unloading, offsite transfers, record updates, and monthly reporting.
6. Coordinate FM200, fire alarm, CAU system servicing, and UPS preventive maintenance, ensuring proper isolation and verification of work.
7. Support power shutdown activities by inspecting equipment post-maintenance to ensure functionality.
8. Manage DC equipment hosting by verifying approvals for equipment moves and maintaining accurate records.
