Role Overview

Provide highimpact program management and analytics for the APAC DC Ops VP across the regional portfolio. Own dashboards, metrics, governance, audit readiness, crossmarket SOP standardization, and executive communications-lifting operational performance, compliance, and customer outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Over-sees operations, engineering team and the entire data centre facility & building facade.
  • Oversee recruitment, training of new employees and develop a high performing operations and technical team.
  • Manage project management in new installation, replacement works, repair works, commissioning & decommissioning of equipment.
  • Oversees design, solutioning for data centre expansion & new project.
  • Ensure compliance with data centre compliance with local regulations, health & safety requirements.
  • Develop best engineering practices, continuous improvement and value engineering.
  • Identify and recommend operational improvement and to be implemented.
  • Develop training, technical advice, guidance and support to operations team.
  • Develop & maintain method of statements, preventive maintenance programs and all technical documents.
  • Develop & deliver engineering reports & ensure adherence to contracted deliverables including SLAs and KPIs.
  • Communicate operating philosophies with technical team and provide information, objectives & expectations to the company's personnel and to the vendor critical facilities management teams.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement of operational processes, procedures, methods, and tools including those related to safety, security, and availability incident/event response, management, recovery, and resolution.
  • Oversees incident, emergency responses & review incident reports, manage change events & problem from beginning to end as well as the completion of post-mortems, root cause analysis & follow-up resolution actions.
  • Supporting the physical security safeguarding of the people, assets, and customer data in data centre.
  • Manage capital expenditures, operating expenses and optimize expenses in line with management targets.
  • Prepare annual budgeting report Opex/Capex inclusive of submission of conditional report.
  • Manage Asset & Inventory.
  • Evaluate and improve operations and financial performance.
  • Managing people and establishing policies and processes.
  • Manage customer's requirements, maintain good relationship and customer retention.
  • Manage & evaluate contractor and supplier performance and ensure they are in line with management goals.
  • Ensure employees work productively and develop professionally.
  • Administer tenancy matters including administering addition & alteration works.
  • Design strategy and set goals for growth.
  • Promote good client & tenant relationships & coordination closely with them with regards to any site issues.
  • Manage infrastructure operations support for new customer onboard and existing customer data centre expansions.
  • Provide proposal to existing customer for maintenance, repair works and parts replacement.
  • Provide solution and proposal for cross connect services.
  • Manage installation of cross connect and monitoring.
  • Prepare regular reports for upper management.
  • Ensure employee follows health and safety regulations.
  • Develop, implement and enhance SOP, MOP and EOP for data centre operations.
  • To lead ISO, SS Standards, Greenmark Certification, TVRA, OSPAR, PCI DSS surveillance and re-certification audits.
  • To lead operations team in escalation, troubleshooting and rectification work during emergency situations.
  • Responsible for planning and implementation of HT/LT power shutdown for servicing according to local code.
  • Develop M&E upgrading work plan and implementation.
  • Performance management of key vendors service providers and maintenance vendors in line with management goals.
  • Manage maintenance of data centre mechanical, electrical, and controls systems to include preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, emergency maintenance, and change management.
  • Manage installation, repair and decommissioning of data centre critical equipment, hardware and network devices.
  • Participates in tender exercise for potential customers, maintenance contracts and projects.
  • Provide 24X7 support to data centre facilities fault & incident, including on-call support.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline advanced degree or relevant certifications (ITIL v4, PMP, Uptime O&M) preferred.
  • 7-10+ years in missioncritical ops, reliability engineering, or PMO roles (DC/Cloud/Facilities).
  • Strong analytics (Excel/BI), process design, and audit coordination experience (Uptime/TIA/ISO).
  • Working knowledge of PDPA and WSH Act familiarity with SCDF Fire Code practices for data centres.
  • Excellent communication stakeholder management across executive and site teams ITIL v4 Foundation (preferred).
  • Language: English (fluent) ability to collaborate across multicultural, multilingual teams.
