Data Centre Facility Technician

Job Description & Requirements

About the Role

We are looking for a Facility Technician to support the daily operation and maintenance of critical infrastructure within a large-scale Internet Data Centre (IDC). The successful candidate will perform routine inspections, respond to incidents and ensure facilities are operating safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

. Perform 24×7 rotating shift duties to support data centre operations.

. Conduct routine inspections of critical facility systems in accordance with operational procedures.

. Monitor power, cooling, environmental and supporting infrastructure systems.

. Respond to facility alarms and incidents according to established SOPs.

. Perform first-level fault isolation and support troubleshooting activities.

. Maintain accurate operation logs and maintenance records.

. Support preventive and corrective maintenance activities.

. Assist in implementing MOPs (Method of Procedure) and maintenance plans.

. Work closely with internal teams and external vendors to ensure service continuity.

. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and operational standards.

Requirements

. Diploma or Higher NITEC in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services or related disciplines.

. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.

. Basic knowledge of electrical, HVAC, UPS, generators or critical infrastructure systems will be an advantage.

. Able to perform rotating shift work.

. Good communication and teamwork skills.
