Possess good knowledge of data centre facility operations tasks and duties
Monitor and maintain critical data centre infrastructure, including power distribution systems (UPS, generators), HVAC systems, fire suppression systems and structured cabling systems.
Managed DC/Building landlord ensuring preventive maintenance on data centre infrastructure and systems are performed promptly.
Respond to alarms, troubleshoot issues, and ensure prompt resolution.
Liaise with DC/Building landlord to coordinate maintenance schedules, address building infrastructure issues, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Support off-office hours activities, including responding to emergency alarms, performing on-call duties, and coordinating with vendors for emergency repairs.
Ensure strict adherence to data centre physical security procedures.
Follow documented incident response procedures, track incidents to closure, and communicate with stakeholders.
Generate reports to management, including monthly performance reports, incident summaries, root cause analyses, and status reports on ongoing projects.
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of experience in data centre facility management.
Experience working in environment with 24x7 on-call responsibilities
Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical and fire suppression systems in data centres.
Knowledge of structured cabling system and rack-and-stack will be advantage
Strong understanding of incident, problem and change management procedures based on ITIL best practices
Proficiency in troubleshooting and problem-solving.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Must have prior experience working in data centre operations in financial institutions
