About the Opportunity

NES Fircroft is hiring on behalf of a global, market-leading technology and infrastructure solutions provider supporting large-scale data center developments across Asia Pacific.

This is a strategic technical leadership role focused on data center solutions, product strategy, and technical sales enablement. The successful candidate will act as a subject-matter expert for data center technologies, working closely with engineering, R&D, sales, consultants, partners, and end users.

The role suits a technically strong professional with deep knowledge of data center cabling and infrastructure solutions, combined with commercial awareness and strong stakeholder engagement skills.

Key Responsibilities

1. Product Development & Technical Strategy

  • Conduct ongoing market research and competitive analysis to identify emerging trends, technologies, and customer requirements within the data center market.
  • Develop and maintain deep technical expertise across data center infrastructure solutions, including: Power and data cabling systems
  • Connectivity and structured cabling solutions
  • Supporting data center infrastructure technologies
  • Work closely with R&D and engineering teams to support the development and positioning of new products and solutions tailored for data center applications.
  • Monitor and interpret industry standards, codes, and regulations relevant to data center infrastructure and digital facilities.

2. Data Center Market & Business Strategy

  • Develop and support a data center strategy aligned with overall business objectives and regional growth plans.
  • Identify and pursue new market opportunities within hyperscale, colocation, enterprise, and mission-critical data center segments.
  • Collaborate with the sales and business development teams to build and maintain strong relationships with: End users
  • Represent the organization at industry events, technical forums, seminars, and conferences.

3. Sales Enablement & Technical Support

  • Act as a technical authority supporting the sales team in closing data center opportunities.
  • Deliver technical presentations, workshops, and training sessions to internal teams, partners, and customers.
  • Prepare and review technical proposals, presentations, solution documents, and white papers.
  • Conduct site visits, technical assessments, and solution reviews to support customer projects and ensure technical alignment.

4. Technical Leadership & Expertise

  • Serve as the internal technical expert for data center infrastructure solutions and best practices.
  • Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support to customers and internal stakeholders.

Stay current on industry best practices and emerging technologies, including:

  • AI-driven data centers
  • Edge computing
  • Energy efficiency and sustainability
  • Future-ready digital infrastructure

Job Requirements

Education bachelor's degree in engineering or a related discipline MBA or postgraduate qualification will be an advantage

Experience

  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience within:
  • Data center infrastructure
  • Cabling and connectivity solutions
  • Large system integrators, OEMs, or related technology environments

Strong exposure to structured cabling solutions, including:

  • Data center cabling
  • Building Management Systems (BMS)
  • Access control systems
  • Security and fire safety integration
  • Proven experience engaging with consultants, distributors, partners, and end users
  • Demonstrated capability in brand positioning, technical evangelism, training programs, and industry events

Technical & Professional Skills

  • Strong understanding of structured cabling solutions and data center design principles
  • Knowledge of vendor management and solution ecosystems
  • Data center certification (e.g. CDCP) is an advantage
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
  • Strong command of spoken and written English
