- Adhere andsupport the facilities management strategy for the agreed client contract.
- Oversee thefacilities management service, which encompasses ad hoc maintenance, fire,mechanical, electrical support and, following environmental safety guidelinesto ensure business continuity is maintained.
- Manage siteoperations to ensure continuity of property services with minimum disruption tothe client's business operations.
- Manages theon-site activities of shift/day technicians, and where required vendors andcontractors.
- Superviseand manage and mentor the technicians on site to ensure exceptional performanceis being achieved. Shift Lead is responsible for supporting the Senior Engineerin setting and attaining performance goals, as well as responsible for thedevelopment, coaching, and counselling of the rest of the site technicians.
- Performhours of operations to provide site coverage as necessary, including workingshift rosters to achieve full staff coverage of sites.
- Raise workpermits (including Tag out, Confined spaces, High Voltage, Fire Isolation, andHot Works requirements), sign off work permits and collaborate with variousgroups to optimize the work schedule.
- Conductrequired property and operational inspections and review property operations toensure cost effectiveness and business continuity is maximized.
- Perform riskassessments where required to support site risk reduction strategies.
- Comply withCBRE Environmental policies and adhere to procedures and work instructions thatare relevant to their activities.
- Ability toresearch, learn, and perform operational duties (switching, isolating, faultrectification, incident recovery, etc) to ensure equipment viability withminimum supervision.
- Some routinemaintenance and monitoring tasks, Examples of items (Various Meter and UPSreadings, Chiller Plant Monitoring, Replacement of Lights, New Tap Off Boxes,Basic Facility Repairs and Maintenance etc.)
- Update sitelog of all incidents and happenings during shift and update next shiftTechnician and Senior Engineer(s).
- Performsystem isolations and switching of supplies, change duties cycles or shut downequipment for maintenance.
- Operateemergency plants such as generators, redundant chillers, cooling towers andtake logs operating whilst in test or emergency operation.
- Supportingthe maintenance of electrical & mechanical infrastructure permanufacturers recommendation and client/contract statements of Work (SOW's)
- Develop,review, implement and audit local Method of Procedures (MOP's), StandardOperating Procedures (SOP's), and Emergency Operating Procedures (EOP's).
- Develop acomprehensive understanding of the building(s) infrastructure and theirlayouts, functions and complexities
- Endorse dayto day and future compliance to safe working practices, quality standardsconformity and best practice methods.
- Provideescorting/vendor management when/where required including supporting internalday technicians with planned and reactive maintenance works.
- Support theshift lead(s) during their absence.
- 3 -5 years'experience in a Data Centre environment/critical environments.
- Strongtechnical background electrical, mechanical background or engineering relateddiscipline.
- HVOperator/switching qualification and experience, Electrical or Air conditioningand Refrigeration License (Trade qualifications in electrical, mechanical, withstrong preference for A Grade Electricians).
- Goodbuilding services knowledg, Customer relationship skills, Workingknowledge of Permit to work systems.
- Understandand interpret technical drawings / processes
- Experienceof CMMS and BMS systems.
- Computerskills in Microsoft Office and a relevant Computerized Maintenance ManagementSystem.
- Clientrelationship experience.
- Knowledge inone of the major core areas, facility management or corporate real estate.
