About The Role
CBRE is seeking an experienced
Data Center Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of critical infrastructure projects within operational data center environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing end-to-end project delivery of MEP upgrades, capacity expansion, critical systems replacement, and infrastructure improvement initiatives while ensuring uninterrupted operations in mission-critical facilities.
This role requires strong technical understanding of data center infrastructure, extensive MEP project management experience, and proven success delivering projects in live, operational environments where uptime, safety, and risk management are paramount.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of data center infrastructure and construction projects, ensuring completion on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
- Execute projects within live operational data center environments while ensuring zero impact to business-critical operations.
- Develop project plans, manage budgets, schedules, procurement activities, and monitor project risks.
- Coordinate contractors, consultants, vendors, and internal stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Lead change management, shutdowns, cutovers, commissioning, and handover activities.
- Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and client operational requirements.
- Provide regular project reporting and communicate progress, risks, and mitigation plans to stakeholders.
What You'll Need
- Proven experience managing projects within operational (live) data center or mission-critical environments.
- Strong MEP project management experience, particularly electrical and mechanical infrastructure projects.
- Experience delivering critical infrastructure upgrades, expansions, or fit-out projects.
- Strong stakeholder management and contractor/vendor management skills.
- PMP, Engineering, Construction Management, or related qualifications preferred.
