Job Description

KeyResponsibilities

Lead and develop a team of data centre engineers and technicians, ensuring effective 24/7 operations.
Oversee day-to-day data centre operations, ensuring high uptime and service availability.
Manage critical infrastructure including UPS, generators, cooling systems, and BMS.
Plan and coordinate maintenance activities, upgrades, and capacity expansion.
Monitor capacity utilisation, optimise energy efficiency, and control operational costs.
Handle incident management, including root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions.
Manage vendors and contractors, ensuring performance standards and service delivery.
Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance across electrical, mechanical, and IT systems.
Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and industry standards.
Act as the main point of contact for stakeholders and provide regular operational updates.

Requirements

Degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum 8 years of experience in data centre operations, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
Strong understanding of data centre infrastructure, including electrical, mechanical, and IT systems.
Experience in data centre setup, operations, and infrastructure management.
Familiarity with industry standards (e.g., ISO 27001).
Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Experience in budgeting, planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.
