Job Summary
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Data Center Facility Trainee to support the operations and maintenance of critical infrastructure within our data center. This role is ideal for individuals who are keen to build a career in data center facilities management and gain hands-on experience in both mechanical and electrical systems.
Responsibilities
- Assist in operating and monitoring data center facility systems such as UPS, HVAC, generators, and electrical systems daily to ensure continuous functionality
- Support routine inspections and preventive maintenance to identify and resolve potential equipment issues
- Troubleshoot system faults and escalate alarms promptly to maintain operational stability
- Follow standard operating procedures and safety standards to complete maintenance activities accurately
- Maintain detailed documentation and logs of all operational and maintenance activities for compliance and tracking
- Collaborate with engineers and technicians to coordinate facility operations and resolve technical challenges
- Participate actively in emergency response and incident management to minimize downtime and ensure safety
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems to support learning and operational tasks
- Willingness to learn and adapt to the data center work environment
- Ability to work shifts as required
- Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams
