Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior Commissioning Engineer / Assistant Commissioning Manager / Commissioning Manager to take a leading role in delivering engineering and commissioning works for complex building services and missioncritical environments. This position involves overseeing technical execution, coordinating multi-disciplinary teams, and ensuring that project requirements, testing standards, and commissioning procedures are met throughout the project lifecycle.
The ideal candidate brings strong MEP engineering experience, a hands-on approach to technical problemsolving, and the ability to work independently while supporting project managers and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Execution & Commissioning
- Lead testing and commissioning activities, including FAT, SAT, and integrated systems testing for mechanical and electrical systems.
- Review and validate technical submissions, method statements, and vendor documentation.
- Evaluate commissioning results, identify non-compliances, and recommend corrective actions.
- Conduct site inspections and ensure installations align with design intent, specifications, and operational requirements.
Project Coordination & Delivery
- Support project managers in planning and delivering engineering and commissioning milestones.
- Track site progress, anticipate risks or delays, and support mitigation planning.
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and vendors to resolve technical issues and ensure seamless workflow.
- Manage project documentation, including commissioning reports, test scripts, and meeting records.
Client & Stakeholder Management
- Attend project and site meetings as the senior technical representative.
- Address technical queries and provide engineering guidance to clients and stakeholders.
- Build strong working relationships with project teams to facilitate smooth project delivery.
Quality, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure all commissioning and site activities comply with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
- Support the implementation of safe work practices, PPE usage, and hazard reporting.
- Maintain high-quality standards across all engineering deliverables.
Requirements & Skills
- Degree in Electrical Engineering preferred candidates from Mechanical, Building Services, or related engineering disciplines will also be considered.
- Significant hands-on experience in MEP systems, building services coordination, and/or commissioning activities.
- Experience working on data center commissioning projects
- Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision while guiding junior team members when needed.
