Data Analytics Solution Architect

Location: Ang Mo Kio

Working Hours: Mon - Fri, 8:30am - 6:00pm

Salary: $7,000 - $9,000 + $50 allowance

Contract: 1-year (renewable)

Eligibility: Singaporeans only (Cat 1 G50 clearance)

Special Requirement:

• Candidates must have prior experience in high-security government environments
• Must have previously obtained high-level security clearance
• Familiar with strict government security, governance, and compliance frameworks

Role Overview

As a Data Analytics Solution Architect, you will design and deliver scalable, secure, and high-performance data analytics solutions to drive business outcomes.

You will provide enterprise-level architecture across data, infrastructure, and cloud environments, including Government Commercial Cloud (GCC) and secure government cloud environments, while acting as a bridge between business stakeholders, data teams, and IT/infrastructure teams.

Key Responsibilities

1. Solution Design & Architecture

• Design end-to-end data platforms: data pipelines, warehouses, lakes, lakehouses, analytics/reporting systems
• Translate business requirements into architecture designs & technical specifications
• Define architectures across cloud-native, hybrid, and on-prem environments
• Establish best practices for data modelling, ETL/ELT, analytics platforms, reporting frameworks
• Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, security policies, and technology roadmaps

2. Data Integration & Management

• Design ETL/ELT pipelines, data governance, metadata, and data quality frameworks
• Oversee development of data models, dashboards, analytics solutions
• Integrate structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data
• Implement data lineage, traceability, and auditability

3. Enterprise Architecture (Cloud & Infrastructure)

• Design across public, private, hybrid, and on-prem environments
• Strong experience in GCC and secure government cloud environments
• Define target-state and transition architectures across: Compute, storage, networking, security, platform services
• Ensure integration between data platforms and enterprise infrastructure

4. Technology & Tools

• Evaluate tools for data storage, analytics, integration, orchestration, visualisation, cloud infrastructure
• Provide guidance on cloud-native services, containerisation, orchestration, platform modernisation

5. Performance Optimisation

• Optimise performance, scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency
• Implement best practices for data processing, storage, and query performance
• Optimise across application and infrastructure layers

6. Security, Risk & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with government security policies and regulations
• Implement data security architecture and risk mitigation strategies

7. Leadership & Stakeholder Management

• Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, BAs, infra & ops teams
• Mentor junior engineers/architects
• Translate technical solutions into business insights
• Lead architecture reviews, governance, and technical assurance

Requirements

Education

• Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field

Technical Skills

Data & Analytics

• Data warehousing, data lakes, lakehouses
• ETL / ELT pipelines
• Data governance, MDM, data quality, BI
• Data modelling: dimensional, data vault, domain models

Cloud & Infrastructure

• Enterprise infrastructure: network, storage, compute, security
• Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, GCP
• Experience in GCC / secure government cloud environments

Engineering & Tools

• SQL, Python
• Containerisation: Docker, Kubernetes
• CI/CD pipelines for data platforms
• Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, CloudFormation
• Cloud-native data services

Data Security & Governance

• Encryption (at rest/in transit), key & secrets management
• Secure data access patterns
• Data lineage, metadata, catalog tools

Additional (Good to Have)

• Machine Learning / MLOps
• Streaming & event-driven architecture (message queues, pub/sub)
• REST APIs & service integration
• Performance tuning (query, storage, cost optimisation)
• Observability (logging, monitoring, SLA)

Experience & Security

• Minimum 7+ years in data/enterprise architecture
• Experience delivering large-scale enterprise analytics & cloud solutions
• Strong familiarity with
• government security, governance, and compliance frameworks
• Must have:

2. High-level security clearance (CAT1/G50 equivalent)
