Job Scope:
Managing Projects to Deliver on Objectives and Outcomes
- Support the project managers and work closely with and vendors and internal stakeholders to deliver on data related implementations to ensure that deliverables and objectives are met within agreed scope and timelines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as data scientists, data engineers, product managers, business analysts, develop and deploy data solutions into analytics platforms and production systems.
Develop and Maintain Data Solutions
- Participate in the development and implementation of data solutions by engaging and gathering user requirements, analysing business needs, and documenting specifications for data products and analytics solutions.
- Develop, monitor and maintain data pipelines and solutions, tracking data quality metrics and implementing improvements where needed.
- Support the testing and validation of fixes and enhancements where required, including executing test cases, validating data accuracy, and monitoring system performance post-deployment.
- Support data migration efforts by assisting with planning activities, reviewing migration processes, and verifying that migrated data is complete and meets quality standards.
- Prepare, process, cleanse and verify the integrity of data for data pipeline development and analysis
- Design and develop new interactive dashboards and/or enhance existing visualisations while adhering to best practices, working closely with users to optimise their experience and support data-driven decision making.
Requirements:
- Trained in a quantitative or engineering discipline: Computer Science, Informatics / Information Systems, Data Analytics, Statistics, Applied Mathematics or a related discipline.
- Strong planning, organisational, and time management skills with ability in managing internal and external stakeholders and delivering on objectives according to project timelines.
- At least 1-2 years of work experience in data projects with demonstrable skills in building, deploying and maintaining data workflows.
- Strong analytical skills with a good eye for detail and possess an aptitude/experience in solving data engineering problems to produce quality deliverables.
- Experience working with structured and unstructured datasets is essential.
- Proficient in programming tools (e.g., R, Python), and scripting languages (e.g. SQL, Java)
- Experience with DataOps and/or MLOps and deploying models and data workflows through DevOps process will be advantageous.
- Good command of written and communication skills with ability to express complex ideas, data / concepts and outcomes of analysis clearly to non-technical audiences.
Skills and Knowledge
- Good project management, planning, time management and organisational skills.
- Strong analytical skills with a good eye for details.
- Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
- Experienced data pipeline builder and data wrangler who enjoys streamlining data systems and building them from ground up.
- Experience in using data visualisation tools (e.g. QlikSense, QuickSight) and AWS services (e.g., SageMaker, Athena, RDS, Redshift, Glue) will be advantageous.
- The following certifications would be advantageous: Certified AWS Cloud Architect / Data Engineer / DevOps Engineer
Working Hours: Office hours
Contract Period: 12 months
Salary: $6000-6500/month
