[What the role is]
We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a strong commitment to protect public health and safety to join us as Data Analyst at the Health Sciences Authority (HSA).
[What you will be working on]
- Perform statistical analyses on clinical and operational datasets to support HSA's public health function
- Support analytics for post-marketing surveillance of health products across their lifecycle
- Develop and execute analysis plans, including data cleaning, validation, and quality assessment
- Translate analytical findings into clear reports, dashboards, and presentations for regulatory and operational decision-making
- Contribute to the development of monitoring frameworks, study protocols, and standard operating procedures
- Contribute to publications, conference materials, and internal technical documentation
- Supervise interns and perform other dutiesT as assigned
[What we are looking for]
- Strong background and experience in health data science, epidemiology or related scientific disciplines, e.g. biostatistics or equivalent technical fields with at least 2 years of experience
- Prior experience in hospital pharmacy practice, medication safety, pharmacovigilance or experience in causal inference / epidemiological methods and analysing electronic health records will be an advantage
- Proficiency in at least one statistical programming language (e.g. R, Stata or Python) and SQ
- Peer-reviewed journal publications in topics related to drug safety or related topics
- Good interpersonal, communication, presentation and writing skills
- Ability to multi-task and work well within a fast-paced, project-focused environment
The successful candidate will be offered a 1-year contract (with option for automatic renewal for a further one year) in the first instance.
