Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Data Analyst to join our dynamic team. This role focuses on turning operational and business data into actionable insights through KPI design, analytics, and BI reporting. The Data Analyst will collaborate with cross-functional teams to bridge technical data analysis and business decision-making, improving business processes and supporting system and service performance in a technology-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
. Analyse business and operational processes and identify opportunities for process optimisation through data-driven insights.
. Collaborate with stakeholders to define key performance indicators (KPIs), reporting requirements, and business goals, translating them into measurable outcomes.
. Design and maintain dashboards and reports using data analytics and reporting tools to monitor business metrics and operational performance.
. Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) and deep-dive investigations to identify trends, patterns, and drivers across areas such as system performance, customer behaviour, and service operations.
. Clean, transform, validate, and document data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliable definitions across reporting and analysis.
. Work with product and development teams to improve data capture, tracking design, and analytics tooling that support business needs.
. Present findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, providing practical recommendations aligned to business objectives.
. Design, build, and validate forecasting or predictive models to support planning and optimisation, where required.
Required Qualifications
. Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Data Engineering, Statistics, or a related discipline.
. Proven experience in data analysis, BI reporting, and business systems analysis in a technology-driven environment.
. Strong understanding of business processes and how data analytics can enhance business performance and operational outcomes.
. Proficiency in SQL and analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx), including Python for data analysis.
. Hands-on experience with BI and data visualisation platforms, and data visualisation best practices.
. Experience in requirements gathering and translating business needs into analytics deliverables.
. Strong data preparation skills (wrangling, cleaning, transformation, and validation), with confidence working across complex, multi-source operational datasets.
. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical findings into clear business terms.
. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think strategically while applying analytical techniques.
Additional Skills and Experience
. Experience analyzing IT service operations data (for example, incidents, tickets, SLAs, response, and resolution times) and designing business unit KPI dashboards to track operational and business performance.
. Exposure to forecasting, statistical modelling, or machine learning for real-world business use cases.
. Familiarity with data governance practices, data quality frameworks, or metric definition standards.
