Context of the role
We are seeking a highly motivated Data Analyst with strong data analysis skills. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on an international stage, collaborate with renowned companies, and join a rapidly growing FinTech company that makes a real impact on the lives of people in developed and emerging markets. As a part of our friendly and collaborative team, you will contribute to supporting exciting projects. The role will be based in Singapore.
What you'll do
- Utilize data analysis techniques, technology, and data structures to identify relevant data sets and build KPIs
- Work closely with Stakeholders to execute a data-driven approach using advanced visualizations to enhance risk and performance monitoring in the compliance program.
- Extract, prepare, and model large, complex data sets, employing machine learning, mathematics, statistics, and programming.
- Develop logical and physical data models, data modelling methodologies, metadata management, master data management, and data lineage techniques.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to leverage predictive analytics, machine learning, and other advanced data science capabilities for compliance insights.
- Provide business intelligence, analysis, and compliance-related information to refine regulatory and compliance policies, programs, processes, and tools.
- Design analytics and business intelligence solutions to drive insights and support risk assessment, monitoring, and other compliance activities.
- Create and implement interactive dashboards using visualization tools.
- Develop scalable analytical and reporting solutions using SQL and other relevant tools
- Communicate complex topics effectively to non-technical audiences.
- Identify opportunities, provide analytics-based insights with actionable recommendations and develop innovative new tools for the compliance organization.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What we are looking for
- Strong educational background, ideally a Master's or BSc in a quantitative discipline (math, statistics, economics, computer science) from an accredited University or College.
- 1-3 years of experience working with complex data sets, data modelling, or data science roles.
- 2-4 years of experience with data scripting languages (e.g., SQL, Python, R).
- 2-4 years of experience in data visualization, leveraging Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to manage key stakeholder relationships and prioritize tasks.
- Broad understanding of business operations.
- Superior communication, organization, presentation, and data visualization skills.
- Excellent project management and time management skills.
- Ability to generate and execute creative ideas.
- Skill in tailoring content, presentation, and language to various audiences.
- Ability to think creatively and implement practices that enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Experience leveraging analytics to address risks.
- Track record of successfully driving complex projects to timely completion.
- Expert proficiency in all Microsoft Office Applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
