Data Analyst

Our client is a well-established organisation in the energy and commodities sector, with business operations spanning international markets. The organisation leverages data and technology to support its commercial activities, market intelligence and business decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain data ingestion processes, ETL pipelines and database integrations to support internal analytics and business applications.
• Manage data feeds and ensure the accuracy, reliability and timely delivery of structured market and business data.
• Design, develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reporting solutions using Tableau and/or Power BI.
• Leverage SQL and Python to extract, process, transform and analyse data for business reporting and decision-making.
• Identify opportunities to automate existing workflows, improve data management processes and strengthen data quality controls.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into effective data solutions.

Requirements

• Degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in data analytics, data engineering, business intelligence or a related field. Fresh graduates with relevant university projects demonstrating practical technical capabilities may also be considered.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Hands-on experience in data ingestion, ETL pipeline development, database management, API integration and data validation.
• Experience developing dashboards and reporting solutions using Tableau and/or Power BI.
• Candidates with exposure to the Oil & Gas, Energy or Commodities industry will have an added advantage.
• Familiarity with modern data technologies and relevant technical certifications would be advantageous.
• Independent, analytical and self-motivated, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
