Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, refine, and maintain the organisation's data and AI governance frameworks, including policies, standards, guidelines, and related artefacts, ensuring they remain current, relevant, and aligned with regulatory expectations.
  • Support communication and engagement efforts to strengthen data literacy, promote responsible data usage, and embed good data management habits across the workforce.
  • Translate governance principles into practical processes and operating models that clarify ownership, accountability, and decision-making related to data and AI.
  • Guide business teams in achieving compliance and operational effectiveness through the appropriate use of data and technology.
  • Establish and execute monitoring approaches for areas such as data cataloguing, lineage, and usage.
  • Provide oversight and advisory support to regional entities and subsidiaries to ensure consistency in data governance practices and adherence to group-wide standards.

Requirements

  • 8 years of relevant experience, including 3 years hands-on data governance, AI governance, data management, audit, or compliance within a regulated environment.
  • Strong attention to detail with solid analytical, problem-solving, project management, and organisational skills.
  • Good understanding of data management disciplines such as master/reference data management and data quality management.
  • Experience driving organisational change or supporting transformation programmes.
  • Practical background in operationalising processes is a plus.
  • Exposure to modern data and technology environments (e.g., cloud platforms, data warehouses, big data tools, AI/ML technologies, architecture diagrams).
