Requirements:
. RAD Certificate in Dance Teaching (CDT) or equivalent teaching qualification.
. Strong foundation in Classical Ballet(RAD syllabus knowledge preferred).
. Versatility in other dance genres such as Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, Tap, or Hip Hop is a strong advantage.
. Experience teaching younger children (ages 3-10) preferred.
. Experience in choreography for performances and competitions.
. Background in competition work- both as a dancer and choreographer - is an advantage.
. Ability to create engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans across different dance styles.
. Patient, encouraging, and passionate about nurturing young dancers.
. Good communication skills with students, parents, and colleagues.
. Willingness to support the school's exams, performances, workshops, and events.
Responsibilities:
. Teach Ballet as the primary focus, while also leading/supporting classes in other genres (e.g. Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, Tap, Hip Hop).
. Prepare students for RAD and CSTD examinations and guide them through the process confidently.
. Develop creative and engaging choreography for school showcases, concerts, and competition teams.
. Support competition dancers with training, coaching, and performance preparation.
. Create a positive, supportive, and disciplined classroom environment.
. Collaborate with colleagues to uphold the school's philosophy of excellence and holistic development.
. Assist with school events, workshops, and community outreach when needed.
