About the Role
We are looking for a confident, energetic, and articulate Cyber Security Specialist / Consultant to join a growing cybersecurity team. This role goes beyond technical expertise - it requires a professional who can engage clients directly, provide pre-sales consultation, and represent the company's cybersecurity capabilities with clarity and confidence.
You will work closely with the leadership and technical teams to strengthen cybersecurity infrastructure and standards while supporting the sales process through technical presentations and responses to cybersecurity-related RFPs.
Reporting directly to the CEO, this role is critical in securing and managing cloud infrastructure across multiple environments - ensuring high availability, strong performance, and compliance with cybersecurity standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Continuously improve and upgrade existing cloud security infrastructure.
- Ensure the security of all systems through comprehensive monitoring and proactive threat management.
- Plan and implement strategic upgrades to company environments.
- Monitor production environments for maximum uptime, performance, and security.
- Manage test and development environments, including database copies when required.
- Implement and maintain housekeeping processes to optimize system performance.
- Ensure compliance with internal standards, policies, and industry regulations.
- Stay up to date with evolving cybersecurity best practices and technologies.
- Act as the pre-sales cybersecurity consultant, engaging with potential clients to articulate the company's security strategy and solutions.
- Provide consultative support to the sales team by presenting cybersecurity capabilities, best practices, and compliance posture.
- Answer cybersecurity questions in RFPs and ensure alignment with client security expectations.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments (VA) and penetration testing (VAPT), with a stronger focus on VA.
- Strengthen cybersecurity compliance, including ISO 27001, SOC 2, and NIST framework alignment.
- Design and implement secure cloud architectures (primarily Microsoft Azure AWS experience is an advantage).
- Monitor and enhance the security posture of production environments, ensuring compliance and best-practice standards.
- Collaborate across teams to plan, design, and execute cybersecurity improvements.
- Perform other ad-hoc duties as required.
Requirements
- 8-10 years of experience in cybersecurity, cloud architecture, or IT security operations.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Azure, Entra ID, and Microsoft 365 (hands-on).
- Proven experience designing, setting up, and improving Azure cloud security infrastructure.
- Demonstrated track record in helping companies achieve cybersecurity certifications (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2, NIST).
- Pre-sales or client-facing experience in cybersecurity is essential
- Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills - able to speak confidently with C-suite and technical stakeholders.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, Entra ID, and Microsoft 365 security configurations.
- Knowledge of AWS cloud security setup will be an advantage.
- Proven experience in vulnerability assessment, penetration testing, and cybersecurity compliance.
- Familiarity with responding to RFPs and cybersecurity audit questionnaires.
- Energetic and dynamic personality with the ability to engage clients persuasively.
- Strong sense of integrity, initiative, and professionalism.
