Cybersecurity Specialist (Entry Level)

Job Description

We are looking for a Cybersecurity Specialist to support the implementation, operation, and maintenance of secure and resilient IT and network infrastructure. The role will be involved in network connectivity, infrastructure security, access management, system administration, and emerging technologies, while working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders.

• Working Hours: Mon-Fri
• Working Location: One North
• Salary Package: UP to $4500 + VB

Key Responsibilities

• Support the implementation, administration, and maintenance of secure network and server infrastructure.
• Provide technical support for network connectivity, infrastructure platforms, and related systems.
• Support identity, authentication, authorisation, and access management infrastructure.
• Monitor and troubleshoot network, system, and security-related issues to ensure infrastructure availability and reliability.
• Assist in implementing cybersecurity controls, security hardening, and infrastructure best practices.
• Work with stakeholders and technical teams on infrastructure and cybersecurity initiatives.
• Support automation and emerging technology initiatives, including AIOps and AI-enabled operations where applicable.
• Maintain technical documentation and support continuous improvements to infrastructure and security operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline.
• Entry level is welcomed to apply.
• Good understanding of networking concepts, network infrastructure, and cybersecurity fundamentals.
• Familiarity with Linux environments and container technologies such as Docker.
• Knowledge of identity and access management (IAM), authentication, or authorisation concepts would be advantageous.
• Programming or scripting knowledge, such as Python, would be beneficial.
• Knowledge of application development, automation, cloud, or AI technologies would be an advantage.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proactive team player who is also able to work independently in a dynamic environment.
