The Cybersecurity Director, Global at Vantage Data Centers is responsible for developing, managing, and strengthening the organization's cybersecurity posture. This role focuses on APAC and overseeing enterprise security programs, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, mitigating risks, and implementing security best practices. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cybersecurity, risk management, and regulatory compliance, with the ability to collaborate across departments and lead strategic security initiatives. This position requires a proactive approach to identifying and addressing security vulnerabilities while fostering a culture of security awareness across the organization.
Essential Functions
- Strategic Leadership: Develop, execute, and continuously refine Vantage's global cybersecurity strategy, aligning with corporate goals, regional regulations, and industry frameworks (ISO 27001, SOC 2, NIST, ISA/IEC 62443).
- Program Governance: Oversee enterprise security policies, standards, and frameworks, ensuring consistent implementation across business units and data center regions.
- Risk Management: Lead the global cybersecurity risk management program, identifying, assessing, and mitigating threats to both IT and OT environments.
- Regional Oversight: Direct cybersecurity operations and initiatives across the region ensuring alignment with the global cybersecurity operations
- Incident Response & Resilience: Oversee the global incident response framework, ensuring rapid detection, containment, and recovery of cybersecurity incidents.
- Vulnerability Management: Provide executive oversight of vulnerability management programs, ensuring timely remediation and measurable reduction of cyber risk.
- Performance & Metrics: Establish and report key cybersecurity KPIs and metrics to executive leadership, highlighting program maturity, compliance status, and risk posture.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with global security regulations and audit requirements, including ISO audits, SOC reporting, and client attestation support.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with IT, OT, Engineering, and Legal teams to implement secure architectures, conduct penetration tests, and ensure integrated security design across technology stacks.
- Culture & Awareness: Champion cybersecurity awareness and accountability across the enterprise, leading global education and behavioral change initiatives.
- Leadership & Mentorship: Manage and develop a high-performing global cybersecurity team, fostering talent growth, succession planning, and collaboration across time zones.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay ahead of emerging threats, technologies, and frameworks to continuously strengthen Vantage's cybersecurity resilience and business enablement.
Job Requirements
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to communicate internally with team members as well as externally with vendors and other service providers.
- Data Center experience is strongly preferred, but not required
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or CCSP preferred.
- 5+ years of experience designing, implementing, and managing cybersecurity programs, ideally within a data center or critical infrastructure environment.
- Strong understanding of security frameworks, compliance requirements, and risk management methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with security technologies, including SIEM, firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, and vulnerability management tools.
- Experience in conducting security assessments, penetration testing, and incident response activities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and security-related tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to collaborate across departments and with external partners.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% as needed.
