Customs Declarant (Part-Time, Remote)

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and submit import/export/transshipment declarations via TradeNet
• Ensure compliance with Singapore Customs regulations and permit requirements
• Classify goods accurately using HS codes and apply correct permit types
• Verify and process shipping documents (commercial invoices, packing lists, BL/AWB, permits)
• Liaise with clients, freight forwarders, and relevant authorities to obtain required information
• Monitor declaration status and resolve any permit or system-related issues promptly
• Maintain proper documentation and records in accordance with audit requirements

Requirements:

• Preferably candidates who have passed the Singapore Customs Declarant Test
• Candidates without certification but with relevant experience in TradeNet declaration are welcome to apply
• Working knowledge of Singapore Customs regulations and procedures
• Familiarity with HS code classification and local import/export compliance
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Able to work independently in a remote setting

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or customs brokerage in Singapore
• Hands-on experience with TradeNet and/or related systems (e.g., permit declaration software)
• Understanding of GST, duties, and controlled/strategic goods requirements
• Experience handling permits for specific schemes (e.g., temporary import/export, re-export)- Not compulsory
