Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • To assist the Assistant Ocean Freight Manager in the daily operational tasks

  • To promptly handle Customer's & Overseas enquiries on Sea Export Booking / Sea Import arrangements

  • Liaise with Transporters on cargo collections / deliveries / check unstuffing / FCL deliveries

  • To liaise with overseas agents on the various requirements and rates

  • To ensure compliance with customer's as well as internal Standard Operating Procedures

  • Completion of Job File and Invoicing

REQUIREMENTS

  • Diploma/ Degree preferred

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in same capacity in freight forwarding industry

  • Team player with strong operational knowledge (Tradenet experience required)

  • Possess good customer service & coordination skills

  • Fast worker with initiatives & positive working attitude

  • Candidates able to start work immediately will be preferred

  • Pleasant/Positive personality, self-motivated with a desire to excel

  • Proficient in MS Office

  • Ability to work independently

  • DGR trained will be an advantage

Job summary

The role is mixed and varied and will have responsibility for management reporting and financial control, supporting the business and operations.
