Job Description

Brief Summary

Join a dynamic team as a Shipment Coordinator, where you'll play a pivotal role in managing shipments and ensuring customer satisfaction. This position offers an exciting opportunity to enhance your logistics and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with international partners to manage shipment operations effectively. Handle inquiries from customers promptly and prioritize shipment urgency. Conduct monthly closing processes and investigate incidents affecting service quality. Verify shipping documents, including AWB/BL, and address any discrepancies with customers and overseas agents. Assess buying and selling rates to ensure shipments meet profitability standards. Obtain necessary confirmations for commercial decisions on shipping with negative figures. Review draft debit notes from suppliers and verify implementation of correct customer rates. Provide timely updates on flight and vessel details, monitoring shipments and informing customers of freight status. Ensure compliance with customers SOPs and shipment handling requirements before shipping or delivery. Oversee Purchase Order (PO) activation and coordinate with origin and destination offices for smooth shipment management. Review the Open PO report to confirm shipment activation and seek customer approval when necessary. Create and manage PO with Destination Office as required. Prepare weekly reports and actively participate in relevant meetings with customers. Assist with additional tasks assigned by Supervisor/Manager.

Requirements

  • Minimum educational qualification of GCE O levels. Strong customer service orientation. Excellent collaboration and interpersonal skills in a team setting. Self-discipline, initiative, and a strong sense of responsibility. 1-2 years of experience in customer service, preferably in a logistics or freight-forwarding environment. Familiarity with shipping terms and documentation for both air and sea transport is an advantage.
