Customer Service Engineer (SMT Equipment Support)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide back-office support, such as generating and preparing retrofit and MES quotations.

• Manage spare parts inventory for SEA, including stock planning, ordering, storage, and distribution.

• Support field service activities by coordinating service, repair, and preventive maintenance in line with company standards.

• Troubleshoot and analyze machine performance issues (electrical, mechanical, or process related). primarily through remote support and guidance.

• Provide on-site customer training on equipment operation, safety, and maintenance when required.

• Support customers in process optimization and production ramp-up to ensure product quality and efficiency.

• Perform in-house and on-site test soldering for demonstrations or evaluations.

• Assemble and disassemble machines for exhibitions or trade shows.

• Work closely with regional service and sales teams to ensure customer satisfaction.

• Maintain proper service records, reports, and documentation i.e.: CPK, evaluation report & etc.

• Coordinate and support installation and commissioning activities in collaboration with field service engineers and commission soldering and production equipment at customer sites in SEA regions when necessary.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or above in Electronics or Mechanical Engineering (or related field).

• At least 3-5 years of experience in machine service, installation, or process support, ideally in electronics manufacturing (SMT or THT).

• Understanding of technical drawings, pneumatic & electrical diagrams

• Experience in troubleshooting electrical or mechanical systems.

• Willing to travel frequently within SEA region when required.
