This role is the HQ-based, cross-site lead responsible for ensuring UTAC manufacturing sites are ready to onboard Strategic Customer's products smoothly from concept/feasibility through qualification and NPI. The role establishes and drives a structured governance, readiness gates, and risk management system across functions and sites to prevent quality/expectation gaps, accelerate qualification outcomes, and enable scalable industrialization.
Core Responsibilities
A. Strategic Customer Onboarding & Site Readiness Governance
- Lead UTAC's site readiness framework for Strategic Customer onboarding across selected sites.
- Define and run governance cadence - Readiness reviews, weekly risk/issue reviews, executive dashboards, and gate/milestone sign-offs.
B. Site platform Enablement (Concept/Feasibility Qual NPI)
- Translate Strategic Customer requirements into UTAC's manufacturing execution needs.
- Process capability expectations, quality controls, equipment/fixture needs, and validation approach.
- Drive new platform readiness activities (tooling, process flow readiness, documentation maturity, control plans) to support feasibility decisions, qualification builds, and NPI transitions.
C. Cross-Functional Alignment & Issue Leadership
- Act as the HQ integrator to align priorities across Operations, Quality, Engineering, Planning, and Supply Chain.
- Proactively identify quality/expectation gaps and drive closure plans, including - Failure analysis & corrective action coordination (as lead/coordinator depending on site ownership model).
- Facilitate escalation to appropriate leadership (Site Management) for resource prioritization and decision-making.
D. Risk Management & Decision Support
- Identify and surface technical/manufacturing risks early ensure mitigation plans are in place before qualification and NPI gates.
- Drive structured decision reviews for - Site selection readiness, capability gaps, capex/tooling needs (as applicable), and timeline trade-offs.
- Provide leadership with options, impacts, and recommended paths forward.
E. Executive Communication & Stakeholder Management
- Provide concise executive updates (written and/or presentation) on - Readiness, risks, decisions required, and progress against gates.
- Ensure consistent, compliant communication with customer-related content under NDA constraints, coordinating with Sales/AM/CS.
