Job Description
We are seeking a Curriculum Specialist to design and implement science curriculum for secondary students. The role focuses on developing effective teaching approaches, strengthening tutor capabilities, and improving student outcomes, alongside providing tutoring under the CDAC Tuition Programme.
Job Responsibilities
1. Curriculum Development
- Design and implement science curriculum aligned with student needs and MOE syllabuses
- Develop and pilot evidence-informed teaching approaches to improve engagement and understanding
- Use student data to refine curriculum and enhance programme effectiveness
2. Professional Development
- Design and deliver training, resources, and coaching to strengthen tutors instructional practices
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to support innovative learning initiatives
3. Tutoring
- Tutor and coach Secondary Science students, providing targeted academic support
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback
- Assist with tutor coverage when required, including evenings and weekends
4. Programme Support
- Support programme implementation, reporting, and partnerships
Requirements
- Degree in Science, Science Education, or related field
- At least 3 - 5 years experience in teaching or curriculum development (Secondary Science preferred)
- Good knowledge of MOE Secondary Science syllabuses and assessments
- Experience in curriculum design and educator support is an advantage
- Strong communication and analytical skills with a student-centred approach
- Passion for supporting low-income learners
- Willing to work evenings/weekends and travel between centres
