Background

We are a fintech, building next-generation products at the intersection of AI and digital finance. At its core, investing is about three things: access, control, and information. Traditional markets provide access, but control is mediated by intermediaries, and information advantages often compound in the hands of a few.

A new financial layer is now forming that rewrites these rules: self-custodial wallets, stablecoins, and on-chain markets. Stablecoins are becoming a practical global digital dollar, and wallets are evolving into modern global accountsletting anyone hold and deploy capital directly, with transparency by default. In parallel, on-chain infrastructure has crossed a key threshold: fees are cheap enough, throughput is high enough, and reliability is strong enough to support trading-grade experiences on open networks.

We strongly believe this unlocks the next arena of global investingwhere traders can invest, speculate, hedge, and express views across more than crypto, including synthetic exposure to US equities, FX, and commodities, and many other real-world outcomes, with lower friction and a fairer market structure.

We're hiring a CTO to lead this next phase: architecting secure, scalable trading infrastructure for power users from day one, and growing it into a broader cross-venue brokerage layer over time.

Responsibilities

You will own the end-to-end technical scope of a trading-grade product from the core wallet and trading experience, to execution reliability, real-time data intelligence, risk controls, and platform security. Your mission is to turn user intent into fast, correct, and verifiable outcomes under real market stress, while building modular foundations that can expand into a multi-venue, multi-asset brokerage over time.

You will design and ship the core system primitives that make traders trust a platform: predictable execution under volatility, high-integrity market data and signal pipelines, and risk systems that make position health clear and de-risk actions simple. This includes building for failure as a default condition congestion, volatility spikes, degraded dependencies, and adversarial environments so the platform stays tradable when it matters most.

You will make trust a measurable engineering property, not a promise. That means securing wallet/signing flows, hardening integrations, implementing monitoring and incident readiness, and ensuring the platform degrades safely and recovers cleanly. You'll define what safe enough to trade means, and build the mechanisms to uphold it in production.

You will build like a hands-on architect and lead like an orchestrator: shaping a lean, elite team of AI-native engineers who move 10x faster without lowering correctness. You'll set a high bar for ownership, speed, and quality shipping with instrumentation, tight feedback loops, and relentless iteration based on real trader behavior.

Requirements

Baseline

• 5+ years building and shipping production systems in crypto trading environments (CEX, DEX, DeFi infra, onchain trading apps)
• A proven track record owning and delivering end-to-end, trading-grade features (not just isolated modules)
• You may have led a small squad or project team but you're still hands-on by default

Engineering Excellence (Systems + Production Readiness)

• Strong ability to design modular architectures that stay maintainable as complexity grows
• Experience building systems that stay reliable under real conditions: traffic spikes, volatility, degraded dependencies, partial failures
• You ship with strong production discipline: metrics, logs, tracing, alerting, safe fallbacks, and recovery paths
• You've owned measurable improvements in latency, error rates, throughput, and uptime in real products

Trading + Crypto Domain Experience

• Strong understanding of leverage and derivatives mechanics: margin, liquidation triggers, funding, slippage, position sizing
• Deep familiarity with onchain realities: transaction finality, congestion, fee volatility, MEV/front-running risks
• Comfortable integrating across venues and protocols where edge cases are normal, not rare
• Hyperliquid ecosystem familiarity is a strong plus (or equivalent depth in a high-throughput trading venue)

Security and Trust Mindset

• Strong instincts around self-custody safety and signing flows that reduce user mistakes and loss surfaces
• Ability to evaluate and harden third-party dependencies (RPCs, bridges, protocols, data providers)
• You approach systems with an adversarial mindset: how can this break, be exploited, or fail under stress
• Comfortable driving security standards: threat modeling, audits/reviews, monitoring, and incident playbooks

Product Instincts

• You can translate trader pain into clear technical requirements and measurable outcomes
• Strong taste for clarity: you avoid magic, build explainable behaviors, and ship UX that holds up under stress
• You design for real decision-making: helping users understand cost, risk, and outcomes before and after execution
