Overview
We are representing a reputable ship management company responsible for the technical and crew management of a diverse fleet. The Crewing Executive will play a key role in ensuring vessels are manned with qualified, compliant, and high-performing seafarers in line with international maritime regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute crew changes across assigned vessels, ensuring timely relief and minimal operational disruption
- Coordinate with manning agents, masters, and internal teams for mobilisation and demobilisation of seafarers
- Ensure all crew meet certification and compliance requirements under International Maritime Organization and Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore guidelines (e.g., STCW, flag state requirements)
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date crew records, contracts, and documentation
- Monitor crew performance and support appraisals, promotions, and training plans
- Handle crew welfare matters, including grievances, medical issues, and repatriation when required
- Liaise with payroll/finance teams on wages, allotments, and crew-related costs
- Support audits and inspections by ensuring proper documentation and compliance readiness
Requirements
- Degree or diploma in Maritime Studies, Shipping, HR, or related field
- 2 years of experience in crewing, marine HR, or ship management (fresh grads with maritime exposure may be considered for junior roles)
- Good understanding of STCW regulations, flag state requirements, and crew certification
- Strong coordination and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple vessels simultaneously
- Good communication skills, comfortable dealing with seafarers, masters, and manning agencies globally
- Proficient in MS Office experience with crew management systems is an advantage
- Able to work in a fast-paced, operations-driven environment
