Maintain and strengthen credit risk frameworks for credit card acquisition and portfolio oversight, ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal standards.
Lead the creation, refinement, and implementation of credit card lending policies, decision rules, and risk controls, and identify opportunities for improvement.
Partner with modelling and analytics teams to shape, validate, implement, and monitor credit risk models, reviewing key assumptions and performance trends.
Perform detailed analysis of credit card portfolio behavior, including credit quality movements, delinquency and loss patterns, cohort trends, and emerging risks.
Manage risk appetite settings and portfolio limits, including calibration, stress testing, monitoring potential breaches, and escalating issues.
Provide risk perspectives on business strategies, product changes, underwriting proposals, and portfolio optimization initiatives.
Produce clear, insight-driven risk reports and dashboards for senior leaders, summarizing portfolio performance and key risk developments.
Prepare materials and present at governance forums to communicate underwriting outcomes and evolving risk themes.
Support and review the work of junior team members, contributing to team development and analytical quality.
Champion process efficiency and automation to improve the accuracy and scalability of risk monitoring and reporting.
Requirements:
A bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative field such as statistics, mathematics, financial engineering, quantitative finance, or data analytics from a well-regarded institution.
At least 5 years of handson experience in retail credit products-particularly credit cards or unsecured lending-or related financial risk areas.
Working knowledge of SQL or similar data-querying tools is beneficial.
Exposure to additional analytics or business intelligence platforms is an added advantage.
Understanding of key credit card risk methodologies, including scoring models, Basel frameworks, ECL concepts, and stress testing practices.
Proven capability to independently perform complex analytical work and convert findings into clear, actionable risk insights.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to challenge and influence stakeholders across business and product functions.
Highly detail-focused, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-moving, structured environment.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
