Job Description

The Credit & Collections Manager (Accounts Receivable) will oversee a team managing patientrelated collections, ensuring timely recovery of receivables and improving overall AR performance. The role focuses on optimising cashflow, strengthening processes, driving operational improvements, and supporting transformation projects, including enhancements related to SAP S/4HANA.

Our client is a wellestablished organisation within the healthcare shared services sector, responsible for delivering centralised finance operations to multiple institutions. They are undergoing continuous transformation to enhance process efficiency, governance, and digital capability, offering a stable and purposeful environment for experienced finance professionals.

Description

  • Lead and mentor a team of Collections specialists, ensuring daily operations run efficiently and targets are met.
  • Develop and execute robust Collections strategies to improve cash recovery and reduce AR ageing.
  • Prepare and present dashboards, analytical reports, and performance insights to senior management and crossfunctional partners.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, audit requirements, and relevant regulatory guidelines relating to Collections and Credit Management.
  • Identify operational risks early and propose practical solutions to mitigate them.
  • Act as the main escalation point for complex customer issues, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to drive timely resolution.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives, streamlining workflows and standardising processes across the Collections function.
  • Support organisational transformation and change management efforts within a shared services environment.
  • Oversee manpower planning, staff development, training, and performance management for the team.

Profile

  • At least 8 years of relevant experience in Collections, Credit Control, or Accounts Receivable functions.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with proven experience managing teams and stakeholders at multiple levels.
  • Highly knowledgeable in Collections processes with the confidence to contribute effectively in discussions and decisionmaking forums.
