Overview
We are seeking a Creative Executive to shape and strengthen our organization's visual identity. This role involves designing impactful graphics for internal use and external platforms, including social media, to translate our mission into compelling visual stories. As we expand our communications capabilities, the Creative Executive will play a key role in raising awareness, advocating for our cause, and building a supportive community through powerful, mission-driven design.
Responsibilities
Graphic Design
- Design a variety of visual assets including infographics, brochures, flyers, reports, presentations, and other internal and external communication materials.
- Translate complex ideas and organisational achievements into visually compelling and easy-to-understand designs
- Support photography needs where required, including capturing and editing images to complement design work
Social Media Content
- Develop eye-catching and engaging visual content tailored for different social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn)
- Produce graphics, short videos, and simple animations that increase reach, engagement, and awareness.
- Stay updated on design and social media trends to keep content fresh, relevant and aligned with audience preferences
Brand Consistency
- Uphold and strengthen the organisation's visual identity across all design outputs.
- Ensure designs adhere to brand guidelines while adapting creatively to different formats and platforms
- Regularly update and refine visual templates, brand assets, and style guide to ensure consistency.
Creative Collaboration
- Partner with communications and marketing teams to brainstorm, conceptualise, and execute creative ideas for campaigns, event, initiatives.
- Work cross-functionally to understand project objectives and translate them into impactful visual solutions.
- Provide creative input to enhance storytelling and bring the organisation's mission to life through design.
Requirements
- Diploma/Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Multimedia Arts, or a related field
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in graphic design or creative productions (Experience in the non-profit or social sector is a plus)
- Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite or Canva
- Experience in designing for digital and social media platforms, including graphics, short videos and animations.
- Collaborative mindset, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams and adapt to feedback
- Creative, resourceful and proactive in proposing new design ideas and solutions
- Flexible and adaptable to evolving organisational needs and fast-paced workflows
- Passionate about using design to amplify the organisation's mission and engage diverse audiences
Applicants without the relevant academic qualifications but with substantial related work experience will also be considered.
