Country General Manager (MNC 3PL)

About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned business leader to head the Singapore operations of a regional logistics organisation. This role carries full responsibility for country performance, profitability, and sustainable growth while ensuring strong governance, operational excellence, and people leadership.

The General Manager will work closely with regional leadership and group functions to align local business strategy with broader regional objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Business & Strategy

• Develop and execute the Singapore business strategy aligned with regional direction

• Drive revenue growth, profitability, and market expansion

• Identify new business opportunities, strategic partnerships, and key accounts

• Represent the company in engagements with customers, partners, and industry stakeholders

Financial & Performance Management

• Full P&L responsibility for Singapore operations

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes

• Monitor financial performance, cost efficiency, and cash flow

• Ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with statutory requirements

Operations & Service Excellence

• Oversee end-to-end logistics operations

• Ensure high service standards, efficiency, and customer satisfaction

• Drive continuous improvement and operational risk management

• Ensure contractual and service delivery commitments are met

People Leadership

• Lead and develop the Singapore management team

• Drive talent development, succession planning, and performance management

• Foster a high-performance, ethical, and inclusive workplace culture

Governance, Risk & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with local laws and industry regulations

• Implement governance frameworks and internal controls

• Manage business and operational risks

• Support audits and ensure adherence to corporate policies

Sustainability & ESG

• Integrate sustainability principles into business operations

• Support regional and group ESG initiatives

• Promote responsible and ethical business practices

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or related field

• MBA or postgraduate qualification is an advantage

• 10-15 years of senior leadership experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain

• Proven track record in P&L management and business growth

• Experience in regional/matrix organisations

• Strong understanding of logistics operations and customer solutions

• Demonstrated leadership and change management capabilities

• Strong governance and compliance knowledge

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
