Country Manager / Managing Director (New Japan Subsidiary)
Job Description
We are looking to hire a Country Manager for our Japan subsidiary who can lead the setup of the newly established entity and oversee its overall management and operations. Currently, there are no employees based in Japan; additional headcount will be expanded depending on business performance and expansion following this hire.
Key Responsibilities
Subsidiary Operations & Management: Overall operational oversight including securing office space and work environment, managing communications with external service vendors (tax, accounting/bookkeeping, etc.), and all general administrative duties required for operating the Japanese entity.
In-House Product & Technology Sales Proposals:
AI Solutions (Document-based): Assistant, Data Loader, Face Recognition
Face Recognition SDK
OCR SDK
Office Solutions: Hwp SDK, Spreadsheet SDK, etc.
Partner Network Development via Solution Proposals: Secure business references through the application and integration of in-house solutions.
Experience: 10+ years of relevant professional experience
Job Overview
Position Title: Country Manager / Managing Director (New Japan Subsidiary)
Work Location: The candidate will be directly involved in setting up the subsidiary from the incorporation process onwards; location details will be established accordingly.
Purpose of Establishment
1. Market Expansion
Aimed at global commercialisation through technology supply businesses, including AI solutions, Solutions, Assistant, Office SDK, and more.
2. Providing Localized Services
Provide tailored, localized services by establishing a presence within Japan.
Develop and deliver products/services aligned with local market needs to increase market share.
3. Strengthening Partnerships & Collaboration
Strengthen collaboration with local partners and expand business networks through the establishment of the software subsidiary.
Secure opportunities to build partnerships across various domains, including technical collaboration and marketing.
Execute business for global products such as Assistant, and SDK products by building a robust network of local partners.
4. Ensuring Regulatory Compliance & Legal Stability
Comply with local laws and regulations and secure legal stability through local incorporation.
Minimize regulatory compliance risks and legal issues during business operations.
