Adecco is seeking a cost estimation manager for a client in the shipbuilding industry. This role will be individual contributor who is willing to develop and improvise the cost estimation procedure. In addition, the personnel will be also involved in preparing detailed cost estimates and timelines for ship repair, conversion, and newbuilding projects. The successful candidate will analyze project specifications, technical drawings, and client requirements to determine accurate scopes of work. The Estimator will also be responsible for tender and quotation preparation, cost control, and reporting.
The Job:
- Develop and improvise cost estimation work flow and procedure
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and timelines for ship repair and newbuilding projects
- Analyze project specifications and technical drawings to determine accurate scopes of work
- Collaborate with procurement, production, and engineering teams to verify cost inputs
- Participate in tender meetings, site inspections, and client discussions as required
The Talent:
- Diploma or Degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- More than 5 years of experience in ship repair, conversion, or newbuilding estimation
- Strong understanding of ship structures, systems, and repair procedures
- Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in cost estimation software and Microsoft Office
