Collect and analyze data to provide accurate estimates of costs, time, materials, and labor needed to ensure the project is completed on time and within budget.
Evaluate the cost effectiveness of products, projects, or services, monitoring actual costs compared to initial estimates as the project progresses.
Collaborate with clients, vendors, and internal teams, including construction foremen, to discuss, develop estimates, and address any issues.
Work with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors to adjust cost estimates based on project changes.
Create estimates to support management in planning, organizing, and scheduling work.
Develop estimates to help select vendors or subcontractors.
Assess material and labor needs to determine whether it is more cost-effective to produce or purchase components.
Prepare regular cost and expenditure reports, along with other required documentation, throughout the project.
Requirement(s):
Diploma / Bachelor Degree
3 to 5 years in cost estimating/project management within offshore, marine, or wind farm industry
Budget management, cost tracking, and financial reporting for offshore projects
Proficient in offshore project management and cost estimating software
Analytical, with the ability to evaluate large datasets and project cost effectiveness
In-depth knowledge of offshore materials, labor costs, and environmental factors
Strong organizational skills, ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
Adaptability to adjust estimates based on project changes and unexpected offshore conditions
