  • Develop in-depth, insightful, and high-impact investigative stories.
  • Build and maintain a strong network of sources across relevant industries.
  • Manage social media for your stories, including publishing and moderating comments.
  • Source and republish opinion pieces, manage content partnerships, and assess incoming editorial pitches for the Opinions section, including editing where necessary.
  • Provide editorial support for projects and events across team projects in the region, including writing press releases, marketing copy, event reports, newsletters, and proofreading materials.
  • Travel occasionally, as required.

Requirements:

  • A university degree in Journalism, Communications, Environmental Studies or any other relevant field.
  • Minimum 2 years of journalism experience in an established media outlet, or a strong freelance portfolio with reputable publications. Candidates with a strong portfolio of work on business and sustainable development coverage and/or analysis will be prioritised.
  • Demonstrated experience in producing original, high-quality stories, with the ability to promote content effectively across digital platforms.
  • Proven ability to simplify complex topics into engaging and accessible content.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively under tight deadlines.
  • Strong understanding of journalism ethics and editorial values.
  • Proactive, self-driven, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Collaborative team player with a willingness to learn and grow.
  • Proficiency in an additional Asian language a plus.
  • Familiarity with multimedia tools (e.g. photography, videography), and working knowledge of tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, HTML/CSS, and social media or project management platforms is a plus.
