Job Description

The objectives of the position are:

Optimise facilities, real estate, and indirect procurement to drive operational excellence, cost-efficiency, and improved service delivery.
Develop and implement a long-term strategic roadmap for workplace and procurement innovation, aligned with company growth and sustainability goals.
Lead and mentor dispersed teams to foster a high-performing culture, emphasising engagement, cross-functional collaboration, and operational compliance.

What will you do

1. Facilities Management Leadership:

Oversee all aspects of facilities management across multiple regions, ensuring consistent service delivery in line with the company's strategic objectives and local regulatory requirements.
Lead the regional facilities management team, ensuring alignment with global standards, policies, and practices.- Provide direction and support to the Regional Facilities Manager to ensure operational efficiency in managing facilities, workplace fit-outs, and day-to-day operations.
Foster a collaborative environment with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless operations and workplace experience.

2. Real Estate & Workplace Fit-Outs:

Manage the company's real estate portfolio across the region, ensuring that all leases and property-related agreements are efficiently managed.
Oversee workplace fit-out projects, ensuring that new office spaces and renovations meet both operational and employee needs, while adhering to budget, timeline, and quality standards.
Lead initiatives to continuously improve workplace facilities, incorporating best practices, sustainability, and innovation.

3. Warehouse & Mailroom Management:

Oversee the management of warehousing and mailroom operations across Asia, ensuring efficiency, safety, and cost-effective management.

4. Lead the Procurement team which oversees the end-to-end procurement process within indirect categories with relevant suppliers. This includes the following:

Ensure the policy are implemented and executed in HQ as well as regional office.
Evaluate the effectiveness of procurement process and drive continuous improvement.
Ensuring all the tendering and negotiating procurement activities is properly executed by the function.
Identify cost-effective solutions and continually monitor any cost related aspects to ensure financial KPI's are met.
Responsible for vendor and service provider management in coordination with relevant internal stakeholders.
Devise long-term strategies which are aligned with the Lidl and Kaufland Asia's goals.
Continually strive for best value and quality enhancement through data analytics, cost examination and process review. Report on the indirect categories performance and identify any issues, opportunities and resolutions going forward.

5. Financial & Budget Management:

Develop and manage budgets for all facilities and indirect procurement activities across the region, ensuring cost controls and efficiency.
Monitor spending and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality in facilities operations or procurement processes.

6. Strategy & Innovation:

Contribute to the long-term strategy for both facilities management and indirect procurement across the region, identifying opportunities for process improvement, automation, and sustainable solutions.
Stay current with trends in smart buildings, sustainability, procurement technology, and workplace design, leveraging these innovations to enhance workplace experience and operational performance.

7. Compliance & Risk Management:

Ensure all facilities operations and procurement activities are in full compliance with local regulations, building codes, environmental regulations, and health and safety standards.
Identify and mitigate operational risks in both facilities management and procurement, ensuring business continuity in case of emergencies or disruptions.

8. Leadership & Team Development:

Lead and develop high-performing, geographically dispersed teams across Asia, providing mentorship and guidance to both facilities management and procurement professionals.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and innovation across the team to meet operational goals and company objectives.

What will you need

Bachelor (or above) degree holder
Experience with a focus on workplace fit-out, real estate, indirect procurement, and warehouse operations and project management
Experience managing a diverse team across multiple locations
Willing to travel frequently.
