In this capacity as a Sales Manager, you will lead business development efforts and oversee key client partnerships within the Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE) industry. You will be instrumental in elevating the venue's profile as a top choice for both domestic and global events, spanning large-scale conventions, trade shows, and corporate gatherings. The primary focus is on generating new opportunities, nurturing existing accounts, and surpassing sales objectives by delivering customised event solutions aligned with client requirements.
Responsibilities:
Drive new revenue streams by identifying and pursuing opportunities within the MICE landscape.
Cultivate and sustain strong partnerships with corporate clients, event planners, and key stakeholders.
Formulate and implement commercial plans to achieve or surpass assigned sales goals.
Present a comprehensive range of event offerings, including venue solutions, catering options, and event technology.
Monitor industry movements and emerging trends to uncover potential growth areas.
Work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless delivery of events from planning through completion.
Serve as the primary liaison for clients, managing proposals, presentations, negotiations, and customised event solutions.
Track sales activities and pipeline performance, providing insights, market intelligence, and strategic recommendations to leadership.
Requirements:
Degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality, or a related discipline.
3 to 5 years of experience in sales within the MICE or hospitality sector, with a track record of meeting targets.
Strong skills in communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement.
Good understanding of the MICE industry, including market dynamics and client requirements.
Ability to build and maintain professional relationships while delivering client-centric solutions.
Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications.
Demonstrated ability to think strategically and work effectively both independently and within a team.
Positive and professional approach, with a collaborative mindset, initiative, accountability, and commitment to delivering quality service.
