Our client is seeking a commercially minded Corporate Real Estate Lawyer to join its legal team in Singapore. This is an exciting opportunity for a lawyer who enjoys working at the intersection of real estate, corporate transactions and strategic business advisory.
Working closely with senior business stakeholders, you will play a key role in supporting a diverse portfolio of property, development and commercial activities across multiple jurisdictions.
Key Responsibilities of Corporate Real Estate Lawyer (5 - 8+ PQE):
- Provide practical, business-focused legal advice on a broad spectrum of real estate and corporate matters.
- Lead the drafting, review and negotiation of property-related agreements, including acquisitions, disposals, leases, development agreements and asset management arrangements.
- Support development, construction and infrastructure projects from inception through completion, identifying and mitigating legal risks throughout the project lifecycle.
- Advise on commercial contracts, procurement arrangements, service agreements, confidentiality agreements and other operational matters.
- Partner with finance, operations, human resources and business teams to deliver timely and commercially sound legal solutions.
- Assist with corporate transactions, strategic partnerships, joint ventures and other growth initiatives.
- Manage external counsel across multiple jurisdictions and oversee the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective legal support.
- Contribute to dispute management, regulatory matters and risk mitigation strategies where required.
- Develop and enhance legal processes, playbooks, templates and governance frameworks to improve efficiency and consistency across the business.
- Support corporate governance and company secretarial matters as part of the wider legal function.
Requirements of Corporate Real Estate Lawyer (5 - 8+ PQE):
- Qualified lawyer with at least 5 years post-qualification experience, gained in a reputable law firm and/or in-house legal environment.
- Strong experience advising on real estate transactions, property development, construction projects or real estate investments.
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate complex commercial agreements and provide pragmatic legal advice to business stakeholders.
- Understanding of corporate, commercial and governance matters beyond pure real estate work.
- Experience managing multiple transactions and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong drafting, communication and relationship management skills.
- Commercially astute with the ability to balance legal risk against business objectives.
- Comfortable working independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Exposure to regional or cross-border transactions will be viewed favourably.
