This position supports the organization's business in the following areas:
Intellectual Property law and management
Regulatory compliance
Capital markets (SGX) compliance
Commercial law
Contract law
Responsibilities of this role will include some or all of the following:
Advise the organization on legal issues concerning regulatory framework relating to intellectual property, product registrations, e-commerce and data protection, and where necessary, conduct research to identify appropriate laws for the relevant jurisdictions
Provide support for regulatory filings with the relevant area/global regulatory authorities in order to obtain licenses and permits in compliance with regulatory requirements
Manage the global intellectual portfolio of the Group
Review, draft and negotiate a broad range of commercial contracts, including licensing agreements, vendor contracts, supply agreements, confidentiality agreements and clinical trial agreements
Liaise, co-ordinate and instruct external legal counsel for outsourced projects
Manage corporate secretarial affairs of corporate entities in Asia Pacific
Required knowledge, skills and abilities:
Strong communication, planning, project management and presentation skills
Solid understanding of government regulations that affect the operation of the organization
Exceptional attention to detail, ability to work simultaneously on multiple priorities
Ability to work independently, establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal teams and customers
Possess excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills necessary to establish quickly credibility and trust throughout the organization
Min. Requirements:
Law degree from a reputable university
Prior legal or in-house experience in the healthcare industry and/or familiarity with drug development process will be a plus
Familiarity with Chinese law and ability to review and draft contracts in Chinese will be a plus
Singaporean or Singapore PR based in Singapore
Expected remuneration range: up to SGD8,000 per month
