be part of its Secretariat & Legal team that provides legal and regulatory compliance solutions
and support to the organization.
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced lawyer to join our Legal team. You will play a key role in supporting our operations on a wide range of legal and regulatory matters, working closely with the business units within the Group spanning editorial, marketing, consumer sales and other functions. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice to internal stakeholders across editorial, commercial and corporate functions
- Draft, review, and negotiate on a diverse range of agreements and transactions
- Advise on intellectual property rights and related issues in the digital media and other platforms
- Advise on media law issues including libel matters
- Advise on technology, data privacy and AI governance matters
- Support corporate and strategic initiatives, including new product launches and digital transformation projects
- Corporate secretarial duties for the companies in the Group
Qualifications & Competencies
- Qualified lawyer in Singapore with LLB and at least five years of post-qualification experience, whether in a law firm or as inhouse counsel
- Work experience in corporate, commercial and intellectual property law, with exposure in technology and data privacy law
- Ability to provide clear, practical advice in a fast-moving environment
- Highly-analytical with keen attention to detail
- Strong drafting, negotiation and communication skills
- A team player who is able to work independently and with cross-functional teams
- A strong interest in technology, AI and the data and digital economy
- Competence in the Chinese language will be an asset for advice on Chinese documents
