Job description
Providing legal advice/consultation for the following scope of legal topics in the Asia-Pacific region:
- Sales, marketing and distribution
- Procurement and OSAT procurement
- Real estate (e.g. land purchases, leases and construction)
- Corporate secretarial matters
- Labour law
- Regulatory compliance and disputes.
Learning and understanding the Company's Compliance-related requirements for the Asia-Pacific region and providing legal advice and support for:
- Effective conformance to regulatory compliance-relevant laws (including anti-trust, anti-corruption, unfair trade practices topics) and Corporate Rules/guidelines (including Business Conduct Guidelines, Corporate Governance Principles, asset protection, data protection, export control)
- Compliance-related questions (e.g. investigation/disciplinary processes in the event of violation of laws or Corporate Rules/ guidelines), as assigned
- Supporting the Local Compliance Contact/Regional Compliance Officer in any Compliance-related topics, as assigned
- Providing Compliance training.
- Other areas of law such as intellectual property, antitrust law, anti-corruption law, data protection, corporate projects, mergers & acquisitions/joint ventures
Your profile
You are best equipped for this task if you have:
- Bachelor's Degree in Law preferably with specialization in corporate law
- Significant experience in a similar role
- Excellent analytical and communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Strong problem-solving capabilities
- An individual who is self-driven, possess strong business acumen and proactive with high adaptability to changing environment
