Abacus Capital, a boutique asset management and corporate advisory firm, is looking for a full-time corporate finance associate. Abacus Capital is headquartered in Singapore with operations in Indonesia and affiliates in Southeast Asia.
Role and responsibilities
- Managing a team of analysts and interns working together towards executing and closing deals
- Origination, structuring and execution of M&A / Fundraising / Corporate finance deals
- Good stakeholder management, liaising with different teams, clients and third-party advisers
- Overseeing and working with analysts/interns on the following:
- Financial modelling and valuation analysis, using different methods, e.g., DCF, market comps, etc.
- Preparing pitch books, info memos, and investor presentation materials for client meetings
- Due diligence & valuation analysis on corporates and assets
- Market, industry and company research and report writing, use of databases, e.g., Bloomberg, CapIQ, etc.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance and/or accounting or closely related areas of Business Administration
- Minimum 3-4 years of prior full-time M&A/Transaction Services experience (i.e. investment bank, Big 4 Corporate Finance/Transaction services)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
- Demonstrated problem-solving and organisational skills
- Analytical and detail-oriented, with strong numerical ability and accounting and finance knowledge
- Experience in managing a team, able to prioritise effectively for the team
- Able to prioritise tasks, learn fast and is willing to work hard to learn on the job
- Meticulous and strong attention to detail
- Strong interest and passion for investment banking and finance, eager to learn more
