ComfortDelGro (CDG) is one of the largest land transport companies in the world with a global workforce, a global shareholder base and a global outlook. The Corporate Development Division has a small but focussed team that looks at the future of mobility & works closely with multiple business units across all seven countries that CDG has presence in. It functions as a think-tank and facilitator to help CDG identify future mobility trends, devise strategies and kick-start their execution in new business and technology.
The chosen candidate will support the Vice President and other senior members of Corporate Development team. He/She will have the opportunity to be involved in global strategy projects and new business venture. This is an outstanding opportunity for early career professionals who would like to learn more about venturing or investing in the high-tech mobility industry and have the chance to build an extensive network with corporates, venture capitalists and start-ups globally.
Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Evaluation & Market Positioning
Assess autonomous vehicle opportunities across markets by analysing regulatory / commercial developments, competitive dynamics, operating models and ecosystem trends.
Develop strategic frameworks and commercial assessments to define viable entry approaches, positioning within the evolving AV value chain, deployment pathways and scaling considerations.
2. Business Case Development & Investment Analysis
Build and stress-test financial models, unit economics and scenario analyses to evaluate AV pilots and longer-term deployment potential.
Develop operation and capital requirements as well as risk considerations to inform phased decision-making.
3. Programme Development & Execution
Support the planning and implementation of AV pilots and early deployment initiatives, ensuring alignment across all business units and functional teams.
Monitor key risks, dependencies and performance indicators to support timely and informed management oversight.
4. Partnership & Ecosystem Management
Contribute to the assessment and coordination of technology, OEM and ecosystem partnerships relevant to AV programmes.
Facilitate collaboration between internal stakeholders and external partners to advance project objectives.
5. Governance & Management Reporting
Prepare management materials, dashboards and consolidated updates for governance and leadership forums.
Maintain structured documentation and tracking mechanisms for AV workstreams.
