Role Overview
The Corporate Communications Intern supports the Senior Manager, APAC Communications in delivering clear and engaging communications across the region. This role provides hands-on exposure to internal communications, leadership messaging, digital content, and regional coordination across diverse markets. The intern will work closely with the APAC Communications Lead and regional stakeholders to support day-to-day execution and special projects.
Key Responsibilities
Internal Communications
- Support the development and rollout of internal communications across APAC.
- Assist with drafting announcements, intranet posts, and employee updates.
- Help coordinate regional campaigns, town halls, and leadership messages.
Content and Channels
- Assist in drafting and editing content for newsletters, Viva Engage posts, videos, and other internal channels.
- Help create visual assets and simple layouts for presentations and toolkits.
- Create and adapt content for internal platforms such as intranet, email, and collaboration tools.
- Support basic social media content for corporate or employer branding channels where applicable.
- Proofread and format content to ensure clarity, accuracy, and tone consistency.
Projects and Events
- Support the planning and coordination of regional campaigns and events, including logistics and materials preparation.
- Provide coordination support for regional initiatives, campaigns, and virtual or in-person events.
- Support preparation of post-event summaries and engagement reporting.
Research and Reporting
- Conduct basic research to support storytelling and communications planning.
- Monitor engagement metrics and compile reports for ongoing initiatives.
- Track engagement metrics and prepare simple reports or dashboards.
- Help gather feedback and insights from regional teams.
Administrative Support
- Maintain content calendars and assist with scheduling posts across channels.
- Organize and update communication resources and archives.
Qualifications
Education / Skills and Attributes
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Clear attention to detail and good organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and familiarity with other creative platforms such as Canva is a plus.
- Creative mindset and interest in visual storytelling.
- Willingness to learn and take feedback positively.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
